Five reasons to help you decide if you need a wedding planner

Your wedding day is naturally one of the best days of your life. It consists of all the little (and big) things that represent you as a couple. Hiring a wedding planner in the UK can make this joyful time a little easier on your nerves.  There are many aspects that you need to focus on to bring your wedding together, which is why this can be such an intense period for some couples. From the logistics to set up and styling it can be complex. Hiring a wedding planner can be a great support at this time, to help you navigate through this. Read on for five reasons to help you decide whether you need a wedding planner.

1. You’ve never planned a wedding before

Chances are you've both haven’t planned a wedding before. Even if you have, there are always new and exciting trends, venues, and suppliers popping up so it’s never the same. You may feel planning your own wedding will be easy because you've helped a sister or a best friend plan theirs. Planning your own wedding is completely different. From tackling your guest list to working through all the details, it takes time, a lot of it. Research has found it can take 250 hours or more to plan a wedding and there are many decisions to make. A professional, experienced wedding planner is the best person to guide you through this intricate process. You get our advice, tips and support throughout your wedding journey and all our hard work on your actual wedding day.  In the long run, hiring a wedding planner, saves you time, it gives you time back. How much longer could it take you to do this on your own?

2. Wedding planning stress is getting to you

Planning a wedding is harder than it looks. If you’re already losing sleep over your massive to-do list, hiring a wedding planner can really make the entire process much more manageable and enjoyable for you. Whether you bring your planner onboard at the start of your planning or halfway through once you’ve had enough.

You can even book a wedding planner for those last 6-8 weeks before your wedding when things can get a bit intense. If you are feeling a bit overwhelmed about it all there is nothing wrong with asking for help, having someone else to hand things over to could be just what you need.

3. You’re unsure about the costs involved in planning a wedding

If you’re in the process of putting your wedding budget together, you may want some guidance. With my professional expertise, we can offer you great insights on industry norms and what you can expect to pay.

Carefully organising your finances at the beginning of your wedding planning, will help you stick to your budget. Working with a wedding planner is an added bonus as we can help you find better prices and keep you on track financially.

4. You need a push start

The thought of organising a wedding can be overwhelming. An experienced wedding planner can help you navigate all this. Getting the ball rolling so that you can start making all the important decisions.  A planner is the person who helps you make the decisions during the preparation for your wedding whether its 12 months, 6 months or less from your wedding day.

We can help you get clear on what you both want from your special day. From your wedding ceremony to the reception and the overall experience for you and your guests. Including those unique, special touches.

We can also work with you to come up with your wedding design, or find brilliant wedding suppliers to implement your wedding vision. Your wedding planner will work with you on all the important details, offering advice, support and assistance along the way to deliver the wedding you have truly dreamed of.

5. You need help on your wedding day

Whether you have a wedding planner during your planning journey or not, I do advise getting a professional to help on your actual wedding day. Simply put, you want to enjoy your wedding day.

If you don’t want to run around all day doing things or be worried about whether your wedding reception is set up how you want it. Or if you are not sure that your trusted friend/family member (who you have asked to help on the day) can really provide the level of service you need, paying attention to all the details. Then consider  a wedding coordinator, who will bring together all the plans on the day of your wedding, usually working with you in the last 6-8 weeks before. We will be there to manage your wedding day for you, providing professionalism and calmness to ensure your wedding goes smoothly. This leaves you to relax and enjoy your best day, creating wonderful memories that you will cherish.
It's worth mentioning here that this is different to a venue coordinator. You find more about the difference between a venue coordinator and wedding planner on my blog.
