Wedding Planning Services questions

See some common questions and answers about my wedding planning services below.
If you have further questions please do call or email me.
  • Do I need a wedding planner?

I fully appreciate that having a wedding planner is an investment. You are trusting me to deliver your dream wedding, whilst making the planning process as enjoyable as possible.

Consider these questions. Do you want peace of mind in the lead-up to the wedding and on the day? Do you want your wedding to be executed well on the day? Do you want a beautiful wedding that reflects you? If any problems arise do you want someone there to sort them out? then I am for you.

It can take over 250 hours to organise a wedding! Having me on board I can help with that. I have planned many weddings before. If you are busy working, and have an active social life then time is precious, and you may not be able to find these extra hours!

That’s where I come in, to help with the planning and provide expert advice and support along the way. In the long run, hiring a wedding planner, saves you time, it gives you time back. Think through how much longer it could take you to do this on your own. You may also find my blog post on do I need a wedding planner useful.

  • My venue already has a venue coordinator, so do I need a wedding planner too?

    This is a popular question.

    • Some key points to know, a venue coordinator does not work for you; they work for the venue. Their focus is to safeguard the interest of the venue, not your interests.
    • the venue coordinator you are working with now, may not be the person who is assigned your actual wedding day. You may have someone else working as your venue coordinator that day, which can be unsettling for you. As the continuity is not there.
    • A wedding planner works solely for you and your interests, looking at the whole wedding. I will be your go-to person for every aspect of your wedding. Guiding and supporting you in the run up to your wedding day, to help reduce any pressure. As your wedding planner I will be with you throughout your wedding planning journey.
    • There are great venue coordinators and great wedding planners, but our roles are quite different. Read my blog post on the difference between a wedding planner and venue coordinator for more details.

  • I have ideas about how I want my wedding to be - can you still help?

Absolutely. Yes, it’s great when my clients have lots to bring to the table. You can share your vision and ideas and I will help bring it all to life.

I  work with you. I become part of your team, along your wedding planning journey and my goal is to ensure you have a fantastic wedding day with memories that you will treasure for years to come.

  • I'm not sure I can afford a wedding planner

Hiring a wedding planner is an investment. The value that I bring in the long run, will save you much time and stress. Through, the support and guidance that you receive and my proven approaches to booking great suppliers and effectively managing the logistics for you.

I appreciate that planning your wedding can be costly. That is why I give you the option to pay for most of my wedding planning services in two, three, four or six installments if you wish. This flexibility means that you can spread your wedding planning payments over a period of time. Please do get in touch to discuss.

  • What if I have planned my wedding and just need some help on the day?

I can help with that too. I offer wedding day coordination. I work with you up to 8 weeks before your wedding and on the day to help coordinate activities and tie off any loose ends so that you don't have to.

Yes, I can assist with that too. This is automatically included within my Full wedding planning and Partial Wedding Planning Services, whether you have ideas about how you want your venue to be styled, or need some help coming up with a design.

I also provide a separate wedding styling too, where I will help you come up with your wedding design,  visit your venue before and on the day, providing styling advice , if needed and will set up the items you desire.  This is particulary benefical if you are using a dry hire venue.
